Prince Jasper of Thisley and his father are fighting. Jasper is punished and hopes for a way out of his duties. However, as he works in the stables, he sees his punishment in a different perspective. Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountains, Jasper's sister is giving birth. Jasper's mom decides to visit her, after her daughter pleads for her to come to Concordia. To keep her husband and Jasper from fighting, she insists that Jasper tag along. Jasper doesn't like this idea but decides that it it's for the best. Jasper's mom brings her husband's wishes to her son-in-law, King Bartholomew. One wish is to give Thistledown to the kingdom of Thisley. This causes a conflict between the two kingdoms. Can the fight between the two kingdoms ever be fixed? How about the fight between Jasper and his dad? Join Prince Jasper of Thisley, Toby the king's page, and Honorary Princess Olive of Concordia in Mary Magers novel, Snow in April.

Opinion:

I completely enjoyed this book. I am very glad to add it to my bookshelf. I think the author did an incredible job describing the details. I love the story, and I love the plot. I understood the story even though I haven't read the first or second book, which I cannot wait to read. I think the author did an incredible job pulling the reader into the book. I recommend this book for readers 12 and older because there are some emotional scenes that might be too intense for younger children.
