All LitPick reviewers grant LitPick an irrevocable license to use their book reviews at any time in the future, throughout the world, in any manner it so chooses, and in any medium now known or later developed. This includes the right to modify the reviews as necessary at LitPick‘s sole discretion. Use of a reviewer's book review also includes, without limitation, use on LitPick.com, on book jackets, by booksellers, and in any other material or publication it wishes. Reviews may also be supplied to LitPick subscribers for their use on websites or elsewhere as per the subscriber's agreement with LitPick.
LitPick student reviewers acknowledge that LitPick is under no obligation to use their reviews.
LitPick reviewers agree that there are to be no fees, commissions, or royalties paid to them for the use of their reviews. LitPick reviewers acknowledge and agree that they will author any and all reviews submitted to LitPick. LitPick is not responsible for lost reviews or lost/damaged books.
We ask that our LitPick reviewers respect the time and effort of authors and publishers related to the books that we are privileged to review. Therefore, please be aware that the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of a copyrighted work is illegal. Criminal copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is under the jurisdiction of the FBI.
We follow these two important privacy principles to keep your trust:
- We are committed to protecting the privacy of our reviewers and members.
- We will not sell information that identifies you to anyone, for any purpose. Period.
All information submitted to LitPick is held in the strictest confidence and will not be passed along to a 3rd party for any reason.
If you, in any context, have left personal information on any of our public access pages such as our Forum, please remember that anyone can access this information. It is advisable that you only leave the information that is pertinent to the topic which you are addressing and which does not reveal your identity.
In compliance with COPPA regulations, all persons applying to be a LitPick reviewer under 13 years old must be sponsored by an adult.
