In the book The Summer of Shambles, author Ebony McKenna tells about a girl named Ondine and a ferret named Shambles. This fantasy story is set in present day with fifteen-year-old Ondine at psychic summer camp in Brugel in Eastern Europe. When she finds out her pet ferret is actually a guy under a curse, she is taken back, and she finds herself falling for him. But she has caught the attention of Lord Vincent. Who does Ondine fall in love with? To find out read, The Summer Of Shambles by Ebony McKenna.

Opinion:

I like the book the Summer of Shambles because it is very surprising. One thing that is surprising in the book is that Shambles was cursed by a witch. There was nothing that I didn’t like about the book. I gave this book five stars because it gave a lot of detail. I think this book is good for ages 12-15 because it's not too hard but not too easy.
