What is it like to be starting middle school while dealing with a bunch of problems? As Karma Khullar is preparing for middle school, it feels super hard and nerve-racking. Her best friend has a new neighbor, and Karma feels that she is slipping away from her. She has been dealing with a death in her family and troubles with her brother. But the deal-breaker is when Karma discovers a mustache growing on her upper lip. What is any middle-school girl to do?

Opinion:

I could really picture myself being in Karma’s shoes, though I would be really uncomfortable. Kristi Wientge told a story about starting middle school and the fact that it gets hard. I just started middle school, and seeing what Karma went through makes me thankful that the hard times in my life are not really that hard. This book made me realize I have it easier than other people. I would definitely recommend this book to others without any doubts.

Content rating - religious perspective

Explain your content rating:

I think it is very suitable for the age recommendations. It is religious-based because it talks about God a lot.
