Buckley is a German Shepherd who works in a airport, sniffing out anything suspicious. Buckley’s best friend Sarge and Sarge's partner are retiring. On the night of the going away party, before the party, Buckley and his partner Adam search through the last mail delivery making sure there is nothing illegal in the mail. After they finish, Buckley hears little scratching noises. He sniffs out a crate full of porcelain statues each with a dead chameleon in them. Adam and Buckley search through all of the statues looking for a survivor. They find one living chameleon and two turtle eggs in a pair of socks. Buckley goes on an incredible journey to try to return his new friend to her parents and take them to their natural habitat. Will Buckley get his new friend to her parents? Will Buckley ever see his handler Adam again? Find out in this action-packed book.
Opinion:
This book is enjoyable. It is action-packed and full of adventure. The way the author wrote it was easy to understand and fun to read. The story was great, and I think the characters were well thought out and created. The emotions in this book felt real. The conflict is easy to understand and enjoy. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I rated this book five stars because the conflict and emotion was great. I recommend this book for ages 8-12.
