It is said that we each have one good book in us that we could write about our life. Meeting a capable writer like Corliss Corazza would make writing our personal book that much easier. This is what happened to Connie Castro Jackson. Cut Open the Sky written by Corliss Corazza is about Connie’s life and spirituality.  It is an interesting story of personal growth, self-realization, and psychic transformation.

Luna Chang is the main character and only the best is expected of her from her parents. She doesn't like the fact that she can't really decide on her own future but must follow what her parents want of her. Enter Hunter Yee, the new student in school who has disappointed his own family tremendously. However, the two families collide and do not get along. Luna and Hunter decide to defy this and end up falling for each other.

This hilarious story starts with Ronan Boyle, the protagonist. He is the most inexperienced member of the Garda Special Unit. This is an agency that solves crimes and mysteries. Ronan’s parents have been framed for stealing an artifact, so his solution is to join this agency in an attempt to find evidence. His hope is to find enough evidence to free his parents, but Ronan discovers that dealing with magical creatures isn’t as easy as it seems.

Our little Promise tells about when Billy visits his friend Lilly.  Lilly loves to joke and play pranks on Billy on April Fool's Day. Billy doesn't shun or get tired of the pranks, and at the end of the day, Billy narrates his experience to his mom. This book's emphasis is on friendships.

Molly Morningstar, A Doll for Me is a picture book about Molly Morningstar, a little girl. The narrative begins when she receives an invitation to a tea party from one of her friends Emma. Emma requests that everyone bring their favorite doll to the tea party. Molly goes to her room to hunt for a doll that looks like her, but she can't locate one. Why can't she locate a doll that resembles her? Will she eventually be able to discover a doll that looks just like her?

Diego the Smelly Dog is a story about an accidental friendship of a little girl named Ava and a smelly dog named Diego. Although Ava wanted to keep Diego, her gramps explained that there are so many things to consider such as additional costs that they cannot afford because Ava’s mom is trying to save money. They then decided to bring Diego to the shelter. Despite this and many other problems, Ava still wanted to bring Diego home. Would the Ava and Diego ever be reunited again? Read on to find out!

 

Calling the Moon tells the stories of young people from different cultures of the world about the experience of their first menstrual cycle. This is a book which many young and older women can relate to. We can see different views of different cultures about how they view womanhood. It also promotes sex education as so many young people can be informed about how their cycle can come at different ages and with different symptoms, etc.

Mattie must find her body before being banished to the Badlands, and Nate is the only one who can help her. Despite being a ghost, she is able to be seen by Nate, who is persuaded when Maddie keeps ripping her own skin off to scare him. Once she gets Nate on her side, she knows they will find her body soon. With some help along the way, all while avoiding Mattie's axe-wielding ghost Pa, Nate and Mattie race against the clock to get her the peace that she is searching for.

Sam and Lily have a typical sibling relationship; Lily (the younger sister) annoys Sam, and Sam always gets blamed for anything Lily does wrong. The girls are spending the summer with their grandparents, and Sam is not excited to spend the whole summer hanging out with Lily. So when she meets their neighbor, a boy named Marcus, she's excited to have someone her own age to hang out with, especially when she discovers that he also loves to read. The three of them are hanging out when Lily runs off into the woods behind the house. Scared that she will get lost, Marcus and Sam run after her.
