LitPick Review
The book Perfect Liars by Kimberly Reid is about a rich, popular girl named Drea, who seems to do everything perfect and right. She soon finds herself in a place where she starts to fall apart after she figures out that her parents are con-artists. When this occurs, Drea takes a bad turn and starts doing naughty things, such as breaking and entering, and making friends with the wrong people. Her brother, who happens to be a police officer, makes her tutor classes at the juvenile delinquent center. She soon finds herself drawn to Xavier, a boy in her juvie class. Drea realizes she has a lot in common with Xavier, but she doesn’t care to admit it. What type of person will Drea become?
Opinion:
The book Perfect Liars by Kimberly Reid was a very interesting novel at the beginning but started to drift into another plot line that dragged on. It wasted about 100 pages on an irrelevant topic, introduced new, unimportant characters, and didn’t really go anywhere with the rest of the story. As the book progressed, it got more disorganized and hard to understand. In my opinion, this book wasn’t what the summary depicted.
