A boy gets killed and the suspect has gone missing.  But is this a normal victim and a normal killer?  No.  Travis is a were-armadillo and Ruby is a were-cat.  This paranormal mystery is told from three different points of view:  Yoshi, a were-cat and Ruby’s brother; Aimee, a human; and Clyde, a were-possum.  Travis’ ghost only reveals himself to Clyde and tells him the events of his murder.

Opinion:

I give this book 3.5 stars.  I would have liked it better, if they didn’t have so much talk about sex and drinking.

I didn’t really have a favorite character in this book.  I liked the mystery and that they were all were-animals.

Content rating - mature content

Explain your content rating:

I consider the content of this book to be mature. There is some strong language and one case of underage drinking. There is also a lot of talk about sex, although the characters don’t actually have sex in the book. There is a little bit of fighting. I think this book should be for readers 14 years old and up.
