Maddy and Grace have a sleepover, and they are having so much fun! They ride their bikes, play games, and bake cookies before going to bed. In the middle of the night, a light fills up their room, and they wake up to find an alien! The alien tells them not to be afraid and that he is a child in his world. He offers to take them to explore his ship. On the spaceship, Maddy and Grace have a lot of fun learning about the alien's life and playing with the different tools around the spaceship. They also meet many different types of aliens from different planets.
Packages have been going missing around Maddy and Grace's neighborhood. Since Maddy and Grace get home from school before any of the adults return from work, they decide it is up to them to figure out who has been stealing the packages. The police tell them that they think it is someone in the neighborhood. The main person that everyone around the neighborhood suspected was Billy, a shy neighborhood kid who seemed suspicious. Maddy and Grace go and question him, but they decide he is innocent.
