"Edna in the desert" is a story of a 13-year-old girl named Edna who is forced to live with her grandparents in the desert due to her behavior and smart remarks. Her grandmother writes a list of chores for Edna to do but Edna decides she can't handle life in the desert. She runs of to the middle of nowhere. After a while, a local boy name Johnny discovers her and helps her back to her grandparents. Edna instantly falls in love with Johnny and is now determined to get to know him better.
