Eros, Prizene, Tip, Azetan, and Kenrya have all received the mark on their 16th birthday. They are forced to leave their homes and family, for fear of endangering them with the enemies that relentlesly hunt the marked. They all meet one another and decide to travel to the training camp for the marked together. Each posses their own unique skills that help the group.

Whether they were brought together by chance, or if it was planned, the reader does not know. As the group travels, they have to overcome many challenging obstacles, both natural and others set by the graliths and tyrnotts that hunt them. They make new friends along the way that assist them with their difficult journey. Will they make it?  Or will the number and strength of their enemies overcome them?

Opinion:

I thought this was a very good book. The characters were very well developed and each had their own distinctive personality. The rich details of the number of aliens and creative species was rivoting.  I liked the diversity of species and how each plays their own part in the story. The plot was well created with lots of action and twists and turns. The fictional world had a good history that was well explained in the book.

Content rating - some mature content

Explain your content rating:

The book had one or two swear words that were used. There was some romance though nothing past explaining feelings. There was deception and hurtful words though not anything too bad.
