Book Review for Winger
The book that I am reviewing is Winger by Andrew Smith. This book is about a boy named Ryan Dean West who goes to Pine Mountain Academy. A lot of interesting things happen at PMA. Read Winger to find out what. This book is about a group of people that are friends and do things together.
The main character Ryan Dean West and his friends are on a rugby team. They go through a lot as a team. Ryan Dean West and about 5 other boys stay in a dorm called O-Hall. O-Hall is for bad teens. Ryan Dean West meets a girl named Annie and they start dating.
There were good and bad parts of this story. The good parts were how the story had a realistic feel to it. Also I liked how the story had really good details. Some bad parts were the swearing and the sexual content.
So, I hope you go out and read Winger. It has a high maturity level. Think about reading this book before you go out and read it. I thought it was a pretty good book.
Opinion:
I thought that Winger was a pretty good book. It was not the best book ever. There was a lot of swearing and sexual content. I would suggest it to a mature middle schooler or a high schooler. Over all it was a pretty good book.
