LitPick Review
Albert Einstein Chaudhury, also known as Al, has his twelfth birthday and gets two presents that lead to so much drama. He got a hamster and a letter from his dad, who died four years ago. The letter revealed a time machine, which is a zinc tub and a computer. Al’s dad wanted him to travel back to 1984 to save him from a go-cart accident which would make him die later. Hopefully, with the help of his hamster, Al can prevent his dad’s death from happening. But is it meant to be saved? Will he save his dad’s life or create something much worse?
Opinion:
Time Traveling with a Hamster is a great book that has an interesting plot. It did take me a while to get into the book. Also, I feel like the author could have named the book differently because there are much more significant titles that would fit this book better. Other than that, it was an awesome book, and after reading it a while, I was hooked. Also, when Al went to 1984, he was best friends with his dad, and that relationship was amazing to read about. Overall, I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars because there were some faults that I did not like. I would recommend this book to the ages of 10 and up.
