LitPick Review
Bridge Through Time by Scott Spotson is about a family of scientists. The father of the family, Max, found a way to go back in time several years ago. However, his new life isn’t as good as he hoped it would be. Max misses his two children from his first life. In his new life, there are freaky aliens roaming the earth. Max is sure he caused them to be there because he went back in time.
Max now has two sons in his new life, Kyle and Peter. Both of them have issues with ADHD, though Kyle's ADHD is more severe. Kyle turns out to be the smarter of the two, despite his difficulties. He is a thriving scientist at CERN. Kyle’s new project is a secret to almost everyone. He is working on a new time machine.
Opinion:
I think the author must have had a ton of fun writing this novel! I certainly enjoyed reading it. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. This book had lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.
I liked how the inventions mentioned in the book sounded so realistic and were carefully described. They didn’t sound like they were made up, even though they were. I enjoyed how each of the characters were introduced, as well as the secrets they each carried.
The writing technique was fascinating! Everything fit together so perfectly. It felt as if the reader was present in each scene. I recommend this book for anyone aged 12 and up.
