The book I read was "Age of Hero’s: the Witches Gauntlet" by B. A. Shulte. The main character of the story is a young girl name Samantha Hathaway.

Set during World War II, The Extra by award-winning author Kathryn Lasky is a wonderful story centering on a Gypsy girl, Lilo Friwald. Lilo and her family are living in Vienna when Hitler’s soldiers come. They are taken away to a Gypsy work camp along with hundreds of others. Soon Lilo and her mother are separated from Lilo’s father and taken to work as extras for famous filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. But the movie set isn’t the hoped-for oasis; the Gypsy extras are guarded day and night, starved, and, when they are not on set, locked in an old barn.

The story I read was called Notes to Self by Avery Sawyer. It’s about a girl named Robin who always would get dragged along on adventures with her best friend Emily. Emily was daring, and was never afraid to try new things. One night, she decides to climb up a ride in an amusement park. It was all fun until both girls ended up falling. Both of them ended up in the hospital. They were both injured, but Emily’s was much more worse than Robin. Emily was in a coma, and doctors weren’t sure when or if she would wake. Robin soon finds herself forgetting most things.

The story I had read was “Outside” by Shalini Boland. The story was split in two. One about a girl named Riley whose sister was killed.

This story was about a girl named Lozen who lived in a dystopian future where everything electronic had been shut off by The Cloud. Our main character is Lozen; she's a Native American girl with unique abilities. She lives in Haven, a jail turned into a refuge for Earth's survivors.

Scarletville is a sanctuary for red heads. It was created so that they can live happily and peacefully among other red heads. However, they do not act that way among Strawbies (strawberry blondes), brunettes, blondes and especially Arties (aritificial red-heads). So of course Felicity must be on high alert all the time because her popularity, perfect boyfriend, loyal friends, and perfectly red hair, all comes out of a bottle. If anyone found out about her fake red hair, she would be shunned and dumped quicker than she can say strawberry blonde.

The book that I am reviewing is The Chance You Won’t Return by Annie Cardi. It was a very good book with a lot of vivid details in which I liked! The age level is most likely ages 11-14. There is very few swear words and a couple sexual scenes.
