Opinion:
Wired Man and other Freaks of Nature is an average teen fiction novel. I say average because it did not go beyond the border. Meaning that there was a protagonist, surrounding characters, and their story. Rather, I am looking for something more than just a novel of the protagonist going on an adventure with other characters. Although, I felt like this novel just told a simple story. However, I was pleased with how Kaufman developed the characters throughout the story. I could relate to Ben because, we both over process situations as well as, we both get lost in our thoughts. Overall I would rate this novel three out of five stars, because it did not give me the romance novel feel. Due to the fact, originally, I chose to read this novel because of the romance. On the contrary, this novel delivered a sense of adventure and danger. Therefore, I would recommend this novel to a mature adolescent who appreciates a good adventure.
