Pack Sunreptimus is a normal 13-year-old boy who likes to hang out with the Ecology Club. But his life is about to change forever.

Pack and his friend Sydney have just become friends with their next door neighbor, Mrs. Wamdoffer. When people swindle her out of her house, Pack decides to help her using a pair of special shoes he found. When Pack wears the shoes, he hears people talking to him in his head. Sydney is concerned about using the shoes to help Mrs. Wamdoffer because some of the voices are evil while others are good. Pack decides to ignore Sydney’s advice and instead tries to help Mrs. Wamdoffer alone. The shoes take Pack to an airport, poker game, and bar, as he tries to sort out evil from good.

Opinion:

Packing Evil was an extremely powerful book which talks about both overcoming evil and nourishing good. The twists and turns of Pack’s journey keep your mind in the book, no matter what. The vivid descriptions of Pack’s adventure make it a very unique book. I really enjoyed this book by P.E. Yudkoff. I especially liked that Pack always tries to stay positive. If you like crazy but good fantasy stories, this is an excellent book for you.
