My Near-Death Adventures (99% True!) is a book about Stanley Arthur Slater and his over-exaggerated tale of going to a logging camp. Stan is living a normal 1800s boy's life. He has friends (and enemies!), but he thinks his Dad is dead. He overhears his Mom and Granny talking with each other, and heard that his Dad wasn't dead, so his goal is to find him. He is forced to go to a logging camp with his family, and all the time he is looking for his Dad. Can he find his Dad? Find out in this book.

Opinion:

My Near-Death Adventures (99% True!) wasn't that good in my opinion. Now on a good note the characters were believable (except Stan) which made this book decent. It finally started to get good maybe 20 pages away from the end. I just didn't like this book because it was too exaggerated (for example, a character said, "I broke my head" when it was really a small cut.) I would recommend this book to ages 7 and up. If you are a fan of Geronimo Stilton, then you will love this book.
