Ever since Katerina saved the tsar’s life using her dark magic, she has been unsure of her place in the seemingly perfect royal society. Once she discovers that she is not the only one with dark secrets, Katerina wonders what else has been hidden from view. When an old evil resurfaces, she is forced to stay away from those she loves, especially the tsar’s son. She knows she can stop the evil, but at what price?

Opinion:

Bridges has done it again! The second volume of The Katerina Trilogy surpasses the majesty of the first. I was captivated throughout the entire book, and Bridges made me believe I was with Katerina every step of the way. I am thrilled for the release of the next book, and I would recommend this series to those who are lovers of magic and in eighth grade or above.
