Jimmy Cardinal is a 13 year old boy who lives with his mother. Jimmy's mother however, is a mean, abusive drunk who could care less if Jimmy starved or was shot. Jimmy finds out throughout his life that he can fly, just by imagining himself flying with freedom. Kept as a secret, he needs to overcome many obstacles and threats in his way. When Jimmy is forced to reveal his secret to the public in attempt to save his mother from her demise how will everyone react?

Opinion:

This book has given a lot of thought to what you should complain about and what you should think before you decide to leave someone behind. Seeing through Jimmy Cardinal's eyes makes our lives seem like a cake-walk compared to his. Noticing the last name "Cardinal," I saw that this is actually a bird type, which explains his power to fly.

Explain your content rating:

It has quite the swearing due to the abusive mother. It is fit for this age group.
