LitPick Review
A Heart in a Body in the World is about a girl named Annabelle. In the past year, Annabelle has been through so much trama and depression that she doesn't know how she's going to get through this. When she decides that she’s going to run from Seattle, Washington to Washington, D.C., her friends and family are there to help her along the way. As she runs across the country, through mountain passes and across flat plains, she is never able to forget about what The Taker took from her. With running across the country seeming to be the only way to help her become at peace with what happened and for her to raise awareness for what happened to her, the only question left is if her body and her heart are able to take this on physically and mentally.
Opinion:
A Heart in a Body in the World is a great book because it talks about big issues that are in our world and culture today. I also thought that the author was very clever in the way the reader learns about what has happened to Annabelle through flashbacks. I enjoyed that the author puts facts about the heart before some of the chapters in the book.
