In the third book of the Full Moon series, Luke is hiding something. Clara can tell. She finds Luke and Grams talking, but they stop as soon as they see her. It wears on her until she gets in an argument with Luke. Meanwhile, Luke’s Uncle Simon is planning to strike again. Will Luke tell Clara his secret in time for her to help him?

Opinion:

A Gypsy Secret is a sweet book that touches on betrayal, anger, love, and friendship. D.A. McGrath has created characters and relationships that any middle-schooler can relate to. The language used is easy to understand, but the plot is complex. The woodland scenery comes alive with descriptions like, “A crisp full moon hangs high in the late-night sky, casting shadows through the dark woodland below.” A story perfect for tweens to teens, A Gypsy Secret will make the world around disappear.
