This mystery fiction story is set in the year 2222 and begins when eighteen-year-old Carter books the wrong flight to the wrong planet for her and her classmates, the same plant where her friend had recently gone missing. She decides to do some searching, with the help of her classmates and professor, to figure out what happened to him. On planet Thror, there are many aliens that stand out to them and give them the creeps, so they think it’s better to go in the night to search for clues. They go searching in the night so no one can follow them, and while they are searching they find many clues hinting towards Conrad. Will Carter be able to find her lost friend. Read the book to find out what happens to Carter and Conrad!

Opinion:

I highly recommend the book Digging in the Stars. I enjoyed the book because of the suspense and the mystery in it. For example, you never know what is going to happen next, and it builds up the suspense with it. In it, there are part where you never know if Carter will find Conrad or what mysteries will be hiding. I feel like Carter is a relatable character, because she’s an average eighteen-year-old who is just trying to find her friend. She acts and feels just like a normal teenager. I enjoyed seeing her characteristics change throughout the book, and would rate this 4 ½ out of 5 stars, and would recommend it for ages 13+.
