Cookie and Broccoli are the best of friends.  Despite being different, they get along very well, and this book is all about secrets in the life of Cookie and Broccoli! First, Broccoli has a very embarrassing nickname he doesn't want anyone to know. But when he tells the nickname to Cookie in their secret spot, the whole school ends up hearing! Luckily, everyone is kind to Broccoli and tells him that his nickname is awesome! Next, Broccoli is very bored one day and can't seem to find anything to get rid of his boredom. Cookie tries to cheer him up, but nothing seems to work until their friend the Rock tells them he has the secret cure for boredom! Will this super-secret cure be able to cure Broccoli of his boredom? Lastly, Cookie and Broccoli see meet each other in school, each with their embarrassing secret. They agree to share their secrets, but will this make it better or worse? Throughout this book, Cookie and Broccoli learn many things about secrets and the power of sharing them with others!

Opinion:

Overall, I loved reading this book. I really liked that it was in graphic novel format, and the colorful drawings made me feel like I was reading a book of fun comics! Additionally, the graphic novel format made it a very quick and fun read, and despite being over 50 pages, I was able to read it in one sitting. Another thing I enjoyed was how the book was very lighthearted and funny, while also teaching some important messages! The book did a great job of showing how sharing secrets with others can make you feel better about them, and how sharing an awesome secret you know can help others feel happy as well! I liked how there were three different stories in this book, and each one taught the reader something different! Lastly, I really liked how all the characters in this book, especially Cookie and Broccoli, were very different from each other, but still were great friends! Overall, any reader would enjoy this book, especially elementary school-aged readers!
