Jacinda has ancient Draki blood running deep in her veins, so when Cassian’s sister Miram, daughter of the Draki Pride leader, is taken by the enemy to a facility where Drakis never return from, she feels obligated to save her, especially since her love for hunter Will is the reason Miram was captured in the first place. To get Miram back and repair her dream of riding off into the sunset with Will, Jacinda takes the ultimate risk and gets herself captured. However, when she arrives and a seemingly ancient Draki threatens her escape all appears to be lost. Can she escape with Miram and her sanity intact? Or will shocking news break her already bent resolve? With everything she’s ever known being tested; Jacinda and Will will have to weather through their greatest adventure ever in Sophie Jordan’s last Firelight novel.

Opinion:

I really loved this final installment in the Firelight trilogy.  It not only wrapped up the story well, but gave an unpredictable finale without it being over-the-top or ridiculous. Sophie Jordan describes the complexly woven Draki society well, and guides the reader through an unprecedented world without confouding us or getting lost in her own writing. The new setting of the book was interesting and allowed for the author to add a new layer of depth and still stay on topic. New characters and the same favorite old ones had amazing interactions, especially the love triangle between the three main characters. I could not put it down and would recommend it to all of my friends.
