The Unseen is book two in The Order of the Bell series. I advise that you read book one, The Carver, first (it’s on Litpick's website too!) because book two is a continuation of the adventure.

In The Unseen, Crescenzo, Rosana, and Zach are now in Wonderland looking for a way to stop the King of Hearts, who teamed up with the evil Queen Avora, who has trapped their parents. The main characters, Crescenzo, Rosana, and Zach, are the sons and daughter of Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan, respectively.

When Avora goes through a magical looking glass, she turns up in Wonderland. While there, she helps the King of Hearts attempt to conquer the Spades and their king, Matthew Hardinger. (For any readers who have read Alice in Wonderland, the King of Spades is the Mad Hatter!) When Rosana storms off from the two boys, she meets Matthew Hardinger who, knowing she is the daughter of Alice, welcomes her into the realm of the Spades.

Join Crescenzo and his friends in this quest to save the kingdom from Queen Avora and the King of Hearts, but more importantly, to save their parents.

Opinion:

Like the first book in the series, I enjoyed reading this one and hope there will be a third book in The Order of the Bell series. I give this wonderful tale five stars, for the mood of all the characters throughout the book was expressed in stunning detail. The plot was well-thought-out, and many a night I could be found reading The Unseen in my bed. The characters had strong personalities, and it seemed as if they walked right out of the pages. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story.
