This book is about a race for clues answers and the truth. When Sophie and Robert Langdon discover a brutal murder at the Louvre in Paris, France, the hunt is on for clues. The clues are believed to lead to the hidden location of the Holy Grail. Along the way, they discover two rival secret societies called Opus Dei and The Priory of Sion. The cryptic clues lead them to the startling suspicion that Jesus Christ may have been involved with Mary Magdalene and the group Opus Dei. Will they find the real truth behind the mystery?

Opinion:

This was a fast-paced book with a lot of good action. It was interesting trying to solve the clues with the characters. However, it talks about Mary Magdalene being more powerful than Jesus. I am Christian, so that was kind of offensive to me. It seemed sacrilegious in a way, but it was a really good book in terms of action and suspense. I just wish it hadn't included parts about Jesus and Mary. Overall, I would recommend this to teens looking for a gripping book.

4
Content Rating:

Content rating - some mature content

Explain your content rating:

There was some violence and fast-paced action. The action would be okay for around ten year olds and up. However, the religious aspect means it should probably only be read by mature older kids.
