LitPick Review
Leila is a girl traveling across the country on a mission to see the Northern Lights. On her way, she enters the lives of four teens across the United States. First she runs into Hudson, a mechanic in a tiny town, who doesn’t hesitate to discard his dreams in order to have true love. Then there’s Bree, a hitchhiker with a complicated family life who steals what she needs. Elliot is a broken-hearted romantic who just wants his best friend to know how much he loves her. And finally, Sonia, who lost her boyfriend to an illness and doesn’t know if she can love anyone ever again. Leila impacts each of these teen’s lives in different ways, and on her own adventure, she figures out that maybe the only way to find what you’re looking for is to get lost along the way.
Opinion:
Let’s Get Lost was a very confusing read for me. Half the time, I really liked it, and then the other half, I really didn’t! The story involves a couple of teenagers doing the typical stupid things that teenagers do. However, most of them learn from the mistakes that they make, and they also learn what love really means, which is a valuable lesson. Overall, I think the idea is a neat one, but it could have been written in a different way.
