This is a fun easy read for fans of DC Comics. As you can guess, Wonder Woman is the main character. She is leaving her home for the first time and heading to Super Hero high to receive her training to become a super hero.
Wonder Woman finds out that becoming a hero is not as easy as she thought. She is faced with many challenges both with her lessons and with her fellow super hero classmates. Normal teenage problems like dealing with peer and parental pressure.

When JoJo finds out about Sam’s abusive step-father, Mr. Russ Hart, there is little she can do about it but try to keep Sam safe. After Sam’s mother, Mrs. Hart, has an accident and overdoses, Sam is left with nothing but a note telling the truth about Mr. Hart. Sam, JoJo, and his step-sister, Britney, decide to run away on a search for the evidence that will convict Russ Hart of the crimes he has committed.
In The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, Tom has three hobbies- annoying his sister Delia, being in a band (the Dog Zombies), and eating caramel wafers. Tom also has a lot of things in his life that bug him. He gets stuck sitting between the annoying Marcus Meldrew and way too close to his teacher Mr. Fullerman. His sister drives him crazy and his Dad dresses like a homeless man when he picks him up from the bus stop. Tom's teachers give him too much homework, but he always finds a creative way to get out of doing it.
