Horse Named Viking is about a Danish Warmblood colt, Viking, whose dam (mom), Carpia, was put down because she defended her foal against Ulrik, a drunken groom (stable boy) who attacked them. Viking was not yet weaned at the time, and after Carpia’s death, Viking stops eating and nearly dies. When he recovers he is sold by Kurt, his owner. After Viking has been passed through several owners and a top-class sale barn, he is bought by Anne O’Neil, an American Olympic/Grand Prix (the highest level of dressage) rider who bought him as a last resort.

A Most Magical Girl is a book about thirteen-year-old Annabel Grey. Annabel is raised as every other London girl, not knowing about magic or the under parts of London. This all changes when her mother has to leave abroad and Annabel is sent to her aunt's house in what Annabel considers the “wrong” side of London.

Shadow Fall is a book about Maia, aka Digger Girl, and her wild adventure. Maia is born a Bronze, which is at the lowest rank of society . Technology is banned, and because Maia's father has been secretly working on a project, he gets caught and killed.

 

Ivy Lovely has been a scauldrony maid in a castle surrounded by slurry for as long as she can remember until one day she is unexpectedly fired. As soon as she leaves the castle and reaches the end of the slurry fields, she is taken by a scout for the Halls of Ivy, a school where students are taught to master their magical blood or stones.
