Abhi is an adventurous girl. She is also a princess in her village. One day she finds a tiger in the forest, and at first she is frightened that he is going to hurt her or eat her. But she goes beyond her fear and asks his name. She figures out that he is a nice, talking tiger named Tanzeer. Tanzeer and Abhi form a bond and become friends. Tanzeer and Abhi have many memorable adventures together as they explore the forest and meet new animals. They also realize that they are different, but as best friends they learn that their physical differences do not matter.

Opinion:

The Tiger Like Me is a cute, cool, and inspiring book. It is cute because a princess and a tiger become friends. It is cool because, even though Abhi and Tanzeer are so different from each other, they are still best friends. It is an inspiring book because it relays a good message about being yourself. The pictures in this book are, in my opinion, very well done. The story flows very well, and the scenes fit together very well. They are very descriptive and show the reader what the setting looks like. Overall this is a great picture book that is more appropriate for younger readers than for older children. I recommend this book for kids ages 5 to 10.
