LitPick Review
Somewhere Along the Line is a romance where the main female character Piper has had to rebuild her life in New York City. Meanwhile, her fellow train passenger James is dealing with grief from the recent loss of a parent along with other personal issues. The two strangers connect over and over while riding the train during their morning commute. A series of circumstances bring them even closer together as they travel through life, but their baggage threatens to tear them apart. Only the two of them can decide if they will remain people you pass on the train or someone who stays in your life forever.
Opinion:
This was a great romantic comedy. I really enjoyed seeing the progression of the characters from just observing each other on the train to becoming more. The way the author described their interactions made me feel like I was on the train alongside the main characters. I would have liked to see Piper know more about why James acted the way he did from his past experiences, but overall their chemistry was great. I swooned a lot at the ending, and it was a fast read that is worth your time. I definitely recommend this book if you love reading about people falling in love.
