She takes out her frustrations about life and her job on him. He tries to make amends for the spilled coffee incident multiple times, but Piper is too focused on her work to see his efforts.
Somewhere Along the Line is a romance where the main female character Piper has had to rebuild her life in New York City. Meanwhile, her fellow train passenger James is dealing with grief from the recent loss of a parent along with other personal issues. The two strangers connect over and over while riding the train during their morning commute. A series of circumstances bring them even closer together as they travel through life, but their baggage threatens to tear them apart.
