Tessa knows that getting a soccer scholarship is the only way she'll be able to go to the college of her dreams. Her best friend’s older sister is a collegiate-level soccer player and offers to help train her, but Tessa will have to break up with her high school boyfriend. Tessa’s heart aches when she thinks about making the choice, but she has to decide—and quick! The offer won't be there for long. Will Tessa choose to leave her boyfriend and go after her dream?

Opinion:

The Recruit's plot is great. I like that it's about chasing a dream. While it could have used a little bit more action, overall it's a great story. The author is skilled at expressing main character Tessa’s feelings, so much so that it felt like it was real in some parts. I wish it could have been a little bit more exciting in the beginning of the book, but it's still great. I can't wait to hear more from this author.
