LitPick Review
After 16 year old Katy Greene's mother dies, Katy goes to live with her Aunt in Japan. At school, Katy meets a boy with a bad reputation and strange powers. His drawings can come alive, but when they do, they are evil. When his powers are revealed to Katy, she gets involved, so when she finds out he is in danger she has to help. Gangsters want him to draw drugs and guns for them and when he refuses they kidnap both him and Katy.
After escaping, he starts to lose control of his magic , and can no longer control his pictures. Katy has to wonder- is she still safe with him around?
Opinion:
Ink is a great book, but I found it very hard to get into, and I had to force myself to read it. It has a lot of characters, and each one has about 3 different names, making it difficult to follow at first. However, after about the 100th page, it got me hooked, and I began to understand who the characters were. The second half of the book was exciting and fast paced. Now I can't wait for the next book in the series!
