Cassie and Donovan are high school seniors, ambitious filmmakers, and most importantly best friends. They are co-directing a horror movie that pays tribute to the genre. Featuring kills from other iconic films, the friends are hopeful about bringing their vision to life. What happens when real murders occur based on scenes in their movie? Can they solve these crimes in time to prevent more murders?

Opinion:

As once said by Stephen King, “Good books don't give up all their secrets at once.”

I enjoyed how the author manages to keep a sense of suspense by adding plenty of twists and turns. I also appreciated how the author details film shooting and all the hard work behind the scenes and the fact that the ending was one that I did not see coming at all.

Secondly, I loved how the author refers to classics like "The Exorcist" and "Friday the 13th".

Lastly, I enjoyed the way the author described the friendship between Cassie and Donovan and showed Cassie as a brave and strong character.

Overall, “The Horror Film Killer” is an entertaining book to read if you are a fan of teen horror movies. If you like innovative plot twists with a pinch of humour, this is the book for you!
