A Gypsy Curse is about a girl named Clara, a seemingly normal girl but one who has a secret gift of shape-shifting into animals. The only thing is that ever since a Gypsy cursed her ancestors, she can only do it on the nights of the full moon.

One night during a full moon, she sneaks out to transform and sees Gypsies setting up camp in the woods by her house. She meets a Gypsy boy named Luke, and they become friends through their love of animals. Through Luke, Clara meets a lady everyone calls Grams. Grams seems to know a lot about Clara and even invites her into their camp, which has never been done with an outsider. What does this mean? Does Grams know about Clara's gift? And will Clara ever break The Gypsy Curse? Read the book to find out!

Opinion:

A Gypsy Curse was an exciting and suspenseful book. I cannot wait to read the next one in the series! It is now one of my favorite series. I would recommend this book to other 10 year olds but with the recommendation that they read book one in the series so they can better understand the main character, Clara, and her situation.

The author wrote descriptively, allowing me to easily picture the scenery and characters. You can't help but like the two main characters, Clara and Luke, as they were developed in a realistic way. For example, they had conflicts to overcome.

This was a very exciting book that I think everyone with a love of magic and adventure should read!
