LitPick Review
Dr. O and the Eco-X by Aaron Kight is about Dr. O Soozana, a doctor who wants to end world pollution. To do this, he creates the Eco-X, a cute machine that will willingly eat all plastic. Dr. O starts by creating Eco-X that produces embryos. The wants for the Eco-X are rising, and Dr. O can’t seem to create enough. The demand gets too high, and he starts messing with the laws of nature and creating egg-producing Eco-X. What will happen when things get out of control? Will Dr. O quit or try to handle things?
Opinion:
I really enjoyed the book, Dr. O and the Eco-X, because of the thrilling plot line. The author did a great job of keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. I did not want to put the book down. The descriptions were great, and I could easily imagine what was happening in the story. One component that could be worked on a little bit was the typing of the pdf. Some words like “the” were misspelled to be written as “tbe”. The author did a great job with vocabulary. The words weren't difficult to understand but weren’t too easy. I would recommend this book to kids ages 8-14 because of the exciting story line and the vocabulary level.
