Cyberbolt is the story of the life of an FBI agent, Mica Bolt. Following the sudden death of her twin sister, Sara, under strange circumstances, she began an investigation into the cause of her death. As the investigation progressed, she found similar cases, all of which were hospital-related, resulting from incorrect  drug dosages, wrong drug administration, missing patient records, etc., due to a cyberattack on the hospital's computer network. ‎Picking up on the clues she found, she soon uncovered a high-level security threat to America. To protect the lives of innocent Americans from what was termed the first digital war, the FBI launched Operation Cyberbolt, with Mica Bolt as the lead agent. Will Americans be saved from the plans and arrangements of their enemies? Will Mica succeed in avenging the death of her twin sister? ‎

Opinion:

‎The characters in Cyberbolt were well-developed. The main character, Mica Bolt, is fierce, capable, and skilled. Her determination to get to the root cause of her twin sister's death, as well as several other similar deaths, even at the cost of her own life is noteworthy. She's focused, yet sentimental, and burdened by guilt from a traumatic childhood experience. ‎Her strengths and weaknesses depict a real and relatable character as opposed to a perfect hero figure. ‎The authors did a great job creating a fast-paced and compelling storyline. The book is vividly descriptive about places, people, and events, which helps readers imagine each scene as it unfolds. The book is filled with several twists and turns, which keeps readers on the edge curious about what happens next. This fictional story also sends a message by raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. The book contains the use of swear words, cigarette smoking, and a few sex scenes and violent scenes, so it's best suited for readers who won’t be bothered by such content. ‎ Overall, though, Cyberbolt has an intriguing storyline, which will appeal to fans of medical, cybercrime, or crime thriller novels. I'd rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book's ending gives a feeling that it'll be best continued as a series.
