The Cape: Overdrive is a book following the adventures of Paladin, Blurr, and Thief in their pursuit of saving the world. The Capes must save the world from falling into a massive war when an asteroid worth a quintillion dollars is spotted in outer space, set on a course for Earth. Everyone wants to possess the asteroid, including all the evil Super-Normals. Whoever possesses even a small fraction of this asteroid will become the richest person (or country) in the world. Unfortunately, The Capes still face troubles in New Chicago, fending off evil Super-Normals more frequently than before.

Blurr is getting faster than ever, even reaching speeds fast enough to occasionally see the future. Paladin is having weird dreams that seem too real to be dreams. After having been given no rest from their constant barrage, their seemingly impenetrable armor might be getting weaker. Will The Capes be able to survive the impending war zone? Find out in this amazing book!

Opinion:

Braxton A. Cosby really outdid himself this time. The Cape: Overdrive is the best book in the series so far! This book had no dull moments; I couldn't put it down! The descriptions were very vivid, especially when there was a pursuit or clashing battles.

I think my favorite character would have to be Paladin because while everyone else got their powers during the Storm, he made his own way with a super suit. He is almost like Iron Man but better. Because of the suit's abilities, he can run faster than the speed of sound, punch people with an immense strength, and go invisible.

The book is packed with fantasy and action, without making it seem cheesy. While Book 3 could be read as a stand-alone novel, I don't feel this one would be a very good book to read without reading other books in the series first. It would be confusing, as it relies on the reader already knowing what's going on with The Capes. I would recommend this book for ages 12 and up because there is some killing.
