When Alumna (the oracle) tells the metal horned unicorns that the last unicorn born will save them from the evil Magh, they are very excited. When he's born, he isn't what they expect. He doesn't have a metal horn! No metal, no magic! He's just plain blue. When Alumna tells Blue that he can gain magic, he's ready for an adventure!

Opinion:

The Blue Unicorn's Journey To Osm was a fantastic book for ages 8-12. Someone older might like it, but I think they might find it too juvenile. Full of magic, unicorns (of course), good, and evil, this book was captivating, a true fantasy.

The illustrations help fuel the reader’s imagination.

The Blue Unicorn’s Journey to Osm is The Ugly Duckling retold in a magical, mythical land.
