LitPick Review
"Edna in the desert" is a story of a 13-year-old girl named Edna who is forced to live with her grandparents in the desert due to her behavior and smart remarks. Her grandmother writes a list of chores for Edna to do but Edna decides she can't handle life in the desert. She runs of to the middle of nowhere. After a while, a local boy name Johnny discovers her and helps her back to her grandparents. Edna instantly falls in love with Johnny and is now determined to get to know him better. Luckily, for Edna, everything works out.
Opinion:
"Edna in the desert" is a great book if you're interested into a teen romance. Honestly, I don't like romance books, and did find myself day-dreaming in parts of this book. But, in many parts, I felt as if I couldn't let go of the book. I would recommend it to friends at the age or 13-15.
