In this book you read about a 17-year old girl named Layla. She's half gargoyle, half demon. With one single kiss, she'll kill anything with a living soul. Zayne is Layla's half brother. She was adopted into the Warden Family long ago, and has grown up with Zayne. He's always looked at her like a sister. As part of the gargoyle Warden Family, a clan that kills demons, it's Layla's job to tag demons. The tag allows the demon to glow white, and only the Wardens can see it. One night while going after a demon, Layla meets Roth. Roth is an "Upper Level Demon" sent by the Boss to keep a close eye on Layla. However, as their crazy roller coaster ride continues, Layla is forbidden to see him again. Of course, that doesn't stop her. Despite the fact that Layla has strong feelings for Roth, they're on a very serious and dangerous mission... to save the world. Since demons don't have souls, it makes the whole no kissing thing, not an issue. Although she trusts him, she can't help but wonder, is he the real danger?

Opinion:

White Hot Kiss is an absolute page turner. This is a book that will leave you breathless and eager to keep reading. On the edge of your seat, you turn another page and begin a new adventure. It's thrilling, mischevious, and romantic. My favorite character is definitely Layla. She's a natural fighter and leader. Her many characteristics remind me of myself. She's extremely hard headed. My favorite part of the book is at the very end, when Layla's true gargoyle/demon form shines through. The way the author describes her... she's beautiful. I suggest this book to any teenage girl that's boy crazy and ready for a ride.
