Unvamped is a book about a vampire named Charles who goes in far too deep one night. It was the night of the full moon, and Charles was searching for more prey. He stumbles upon a witch named Ellie, and with poor decision making skills, decides that she's a good candidate.

After feeding, Charles ends up getting cursed by Ellie to become a human. Desperate to cope with this, Charles discovers new friends along the way who also struggle with their supernatural abilities. Lee is a werewolf having problems with his shifting. Ellie, the witch who cursed Charles, despises her own magic. Charles gets closer to Ellie with the hope that he can convince her to break the curse. He discovers that he might have been put under more than just one of her spells.

Opinion:

Unvamped was a pretty awesome book, though I noticed a few errors in spelling and grammar. The story really drew me in and was fun to read. I only found a few sections frustrating and wish those parts could have been written differently.

For those who enjoy adventure, this book fits the bill with its action-packed plot. The first few chapters started slow, but once the storyline got rolling, it was a fun ride. The author gave each character their own individual spirit, which I enjoyed very much. The book could have been edited more heavily than it was, but overall, this is a good book with a nice story that I enjoyed reading.

Content rating - some mature content

Explain your content rating:

Although Unvamped is generally kid-friendly, it does bring up the subject of sex, and there is also slight gore. If those subjects make you awkward, I would recommend skipping over those parts or not reading this book. Skipping over most of these parts will not interrupt the story, and will still make for an enjoyable book.
