The Tocks on the Clock is a story about a girl named Desi who travels with her cat and dog to visit the twelve monsters known as the Tocks. The monsters represent each hour on the clock, teaching children about time. The books is fun, silly, and written in rhyme scheme to keep little ones attention span. The illustrations are eye popping, and there are small texts converted into the illustrations in the background for an extra read for fun. For example, the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock is written on the wall in the background where one of the monsters lives. This is a great story to teach kids how to tell time in an exciting manner.

Opinion:

This picture book is imaginative, exciting, silly, and teaches children how to tell time. The story book reminds me of how Dr Seuss wrote his beloved kids books. The author draws the reader in by creating an adventurous world and a rhyme scheme that keeps children wondering what will happen next. I think families will chuckle while reading this book. It's an educational read that captures what children want most: silliness, fun, adventure, and words that will keep drawing them back. This is story that will be read over and over again.
