The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart is about a young boy named Reuben who finds this extraordinary watch that has a very powerful secret. At first Rueben thinks that it is a way out of his life of poverty, but after discovering more and more secrets about the watch, Reuben wants to take down the evil villain, The Smoke, and his defenders, The Directioners. With help from his friends Penny, Jack, and Mrs. Genevieve can Reuben and his watch take down The Smoke and The Directioners?

Opinion:

In my opinion, this is a great book with a lot of unexpected twists and turns. I liked that it had a lot of detail and depth to the characters. Toward the end of the book it dragged on a little bit when he was exploring the house but then quickly got exciting again. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy a good mystery.
