Rooftoppers starts as a different kind of story, a memory of a girl named Sophie. It all begins with a strange cello case drifting in the sea after a ship wreck. As fate would have it, a scholar by the name of Charles was also stranded at sea as a result of the shipwreck. While drifting by the cello case, he saw something. Imagine the astonishment he must have felt when, after inspecting the case, he finds a small girl safely tucked away inside the case. This introduction between Charles and the young girl, Sophie, is only the beginning of the perilous adventures that the two unlikely companions would have together in the years to come.

Opinion:

I enjoyed this book more than a Harry Potter. It was an interesting journey and not the normal kind of book that I would find myself reading.  It's not overly adventurous, but you could relate to the heartfelt characters. At the end of the story, I found myself sobbing with joy.  I read it like I was a hungry wolf. If you like stories that bring you into the past and take you on the ride of a lifetime, then this is the book for you!!!!!!
