Lowriders in Space is a graphic novel about three friends whose only dream is to open their own garage. The characters in the story are Lupe Impala, the best mechanic south of Vacaville, Flapjack Octopus, who could make the worst cars seem new by washing, and Elirio Malaria, the best car artist around. At first, Lupe, Flapjack, and Elirio work for a horrible boss who gives work, about 50 cars done a day, that would be impossible for all other mechanics, washers, and artists. Soon the trio spot a poster that states, Universal Car Competition! They study the poster and see an epic prize! A CARLOAD OF CASH! But can they win it all with a broken car, their knowledge, and their skill?

Opinion:

Lowriders in Space was a good book for people who like cars. I liked that it was kind of unpredictable what would happen next or what they would say next. My favorite part was when something unexpected customized their car. It looked cool before, but after, oh man, it was pretty awesome! The book was written in Spanish and English, but there was a glossary and little bubbles on the bottom of the page telling the reader what the Spanish translated to in English. I would recommend this book to people who like cars and want to learn some Spanish.
