Kyle Keely wins an invitation to a lock-in at the library with eleven other tweleve year olds. Kyle is excited about wining because he broke a window and got grounded.. He thinks the library lock-in would be a great place to place video games all night. Kyle`s parents are really excited for Kyle and let him go. Kyle spends the night at the library and has a lot of fun, but he doesn't really play many video games.   When he wakes up he finds out that he can stay and play a game to get out of the library. Also, whoever wins gets to be famous. Kyle and some of his friends make team and together they find a way out.of the library.   Mr. Lemoncello is a game maker who knows how to make games fun and exciting.  Many of the clues in the library for the game are based on his board games.  Kyle and his family love these board games and play them all the time at home.   But, things aren't always going well for Kyle. Their competition includes Charles who is not a nice person. Charles is constantly reminding Kyle that he will loose the game. This all happens in the book Escape from Mr. Lemoncello`s Library by Chris Grabenstein.

Opinion:

I loved this book and  it is now one of my all time favorites. I had a fun time trying to figure out how they could get out of the library but I could not figure it out until they told me how it was done.  I thought that this book was really well written.  The characters were believable.  Kyle always tried to do the right thing.  He was friendly and kind and tried to include everyone.  Charles was not very kind and very rude.      I don’t know how the author came up with all the clues and interesting adventures he wrote about.   The author was very creative.  The new library sounds awesome!  Now, I would like to read more of Chris Gabenstein's  books.
