The Blood Guard is an interesting novel that gets right into the action. It starts out with Evelyn Ronan Truelove and it explains how he hates his girly name. The day came when his mom decided he needed to learn to fight. On the last day of school, his mom picked him up from school early and informed him that his dad was kidnapped.  Evelyn encounters many new associates along his action packed adventure while he is trying to defeat the bend sinister. He learns about his mother's secret life as one of the guards destined to protect the pure ones, someone whose soul is so righteous that when they are murdered, very bad things happen.

Opinion:

This novel is full of action and adventure and makes the reader ask  "Will his skills from the past help him now?" Read the book and you will find out. I would recommend this book to anyone who is willing to read such an intense novel. I really liked this novel, and I hope everyone who reads it feels the same.
